Rebecca Wang Continues Philanthropic Endeavors with amfAR Milano 2015

Each year, the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR), hosts an array of high-profile events to generate support and funds for their critical fight against AIDS. amfAR Milano 2015 will bring together a diverse range of world icons in fashion, music, film, and business for an exquisite night of awareness and fundraising for their AIDS research programs.

amfAR Milano 2015 is presented in conjunction with Milan Fashion Week, and will be chaired by Heidi Klum and Eva Cavalli, among others. Last year’s amfAR Milano, chaired by Heidi Klum, Rosario Dawson, Jeremy Piven, and others, raised $1.4 million, and the event has raised over $7 million in total for amfAR’s AIDS research programs.

Ever passionate about advancing endeavors which bring much needed attention and funds to AIDS research, Wang’s sustained support of amfAR and other organizations like it is indicative of the vital role that denizens of the arts and entertainment industries can play in galvanizing public support for such causes. Wang firmly believes that public figures and celebrities have a responsibility to bring widespread awareness to health and humanitarian issues.

Wang acted as a sponsor for the 2012 Paris Inspiration Gala with Piaget and M.A.C. Viva Glam. She also chaired both the Los Angeles and New York Inspiration Galas in 2013 and 2014 along with others. These awards events have given testament to the commitment and dedication to the fight against AIDS displayed by such world-renowned figures as Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, philanthropist Aileen Getty, fashion legend Valentino, actress Goldie Hawn, singer Jennifer Lopez, and film director and designer Tom Ford.
